Staff Update: John Gay Hired, McCadden Earns CAE

Washington, DC – Association Management Strategies, Inc. (AMS), a leading Washington, DC based association management company, is pleased to announce that John Gay has joined AMS as Client Legislative and Regulatory Affair Director and that Jen McCadden has received ASAE’s Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential.

“Welcoming a professional of John Gay’s caliber to our team is huge boon for AMS,” said John Flatley, AMS President. “His skill and experience in government affairs and association management will be of significant value to our clients.”

Gay has over 30 years of experience serving in a variety of advocacy association learnership roles in Washington, DC.  Prior to joining AMS, he served as Executive Director and CEO of the Natural Products Association; and led the government affairs programs of the National Restaurant Association, the Consumer Healthcare Products Association, and the International Franchise Association. He also served as Chair of the National Immigration Forum.

“While we are always thrilled to add new people with fresh perspectives to our team, AMS is equally committed to supporting the development of our staff as exemplified by Jen McCadden’ s recent achievement of the CAE designation,” continued Flatley. “By focusing on continual improvement, we ensure the best quality of service for our clients over time. We could not be prouder of Jen and the work she put into achieving this well-deserved recognition.”

McCadden joined AMS in the summer of 2018. She currently services as the Operations Director for the Association of Home Office Underwriters and the Director of Administration for the American Board of Wound Management. The CAE program is the only professional designation for the association management profession and elevates professional standards, enhances individual performance, and designates those who have acquired and have demonstrated the knowledge essential to the practice of association management.
