Harrison Melcher joined AMS as a Coordinator in 2025. He provides membership, organization, and administrative support for the Association of Dental Support Organizations (ADSO).
Harrison grew up in the mountains of California. He pursued a BA in History at UC Santa Cruz before moving to Scotland to attend the University of Glasgow. While attending UCSC, Harrison developed event planning and leadership skills by interning at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History, helping to create and run community focused programs. In the summers between pursuing a master’s in business & management/history at UofG, Harrison further refined his administrative and event skills in various program-focused roles at the Heurich House Museum in DC. During his time in Glasgow, Harrison worked as a freelance caretaker for various animals, helping him to develop a flexible skillset and continue his passion for animal care. After returning to the United Sates, he did temp work as an events assistant and concierge before coming to AMS.
Harrison lives in DC with his partner Mina. In their free time they enjoy attending concerts, cooking together, pet sitting for their friends, and tabletop gaming. Harrison has a passion for hiking, travelling, animals, community service, and high-fantasy novels.
