Earth Day is an annual event celebrated on April 22nd to raise awareness about environmental issues and encourage people to take action to protect our planet. This year’s theme is “Invest in Our Planet,” which highlights the importance of dedicating our time, resources, and energy to solving climate change and other environmental issues.
At AMS, we believe that it is important to be active members of the communities in which we operate and to support initiatives that promote environmental sustainability.
This year, we partnered with our office building, 1800 M Street, and eAsset Solutions on an electronics recycling event, giving staff the opportunity to drop off any old or unused electronics such as laptops, hard drives, printers, cell phones, cables for free recycling. eAsset Solutions is a local, Falls Church, VA- based organization, certified to the latest recycling standards of R2v3 (Responsible Recycling) and RIOS (Recycling Industry Operating Standard). Any items they accept are recycled in accordance with Local, State, and Federal Laws.

In addition to Earth Day, April 22nd is also National Drug Take Back Day – an important annual event for long-standing AMS client PPSWG. PPSWG’s MyOldMeds.com provides 24/7 access to free and safe drug take back options year-round. The site hosts a comprehensive database of 22,000 disposal options in all 50 states, making it convenient for consumers to properly dispose of leftover medicine and keeping families and communities safe and healthy. See their infographic below for more details:
As we celebrate Earth Day 2023 and recognize National Drug Take Back Day, we encourage others to join us in taking action to protect our planet. Whether it is reducing your carbon footprint, conserving natural resources, or promoting environmental sustainability in your community, every action counts!
