Washington, DC – Association Management Strategies, Inc. (AMS), a leading Washington, DC based association management company, is pleased to announce that Account Executive Sibel Clifford has received the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE)’s Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential, the highest professional credential in the association industry.
Ms. Clifford joined AMS in February 2016. She currently serves as Executive Director for ABWM Foundation and Membership and Operations Director for International Claim Association (ICA). Ms. Clifford has over 20 years of experience in international nonprofit organization management. She is a strong association leader with proven successes in strategic management, operations, membership, and volunteer management.
Before joining the AMS, Ms. Clifford worked as a Communications Manager for the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) in Paris. and at Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS) in Istanbul, as the Deputy Secretary General.
The CAE Program elevates professional standards, enhances individual performance, and designates those who acquired and have demonstrated the knowledge essential to the practice of association management. To be designated as a CAE, an applicant must have experience with nonprofit organization management, complete a minimum of 100 hours of specialized professional development, pass a stringent examination in association management, and pledge to uphold a code of ethics. CAE is the only professional designation for the association management profession and has been achieved by over 4,700 association industry leaders worldwide.
