Matt began working with AMS in 2014 by providing membership and operational support to the National Association for Surface Finishing and the AESF Foundation. In his roles, Matt had the responsibility of strategy development and day-to-day implementation of a national and international membership program where he has built and fostered relationships with many blue-chip companies such as Apple, Boeing, Delta Air Lines, Raytheon, Moen, Coventya, and others in the global manufacturing and chemical value chains.
Matt also has extensive experience building sponsorship and partnership programs for organizations. Whether through annual grassroot funding campaigns or strategic member programming meant to identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts for organizations, Matt has the knowledge in guiding organizations through best practices in order to reach their financial goals.
Matt and his husband Zach reside in beautiful Winchester, Virginia with their two goldendoodles, Padme and Chewie. When they are not out hiking or exploring quaint towns in the Shenandoah Valley, they can be found attending concerts at Wolf Trap, Bright Box, Strathmore, or the Kennedy Center.
