Chris joined AMS in September 2022 bringing with him more than two decades of association management experience. Currently and since 2012, he serves as Executive Director of The American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine (ABVLM), a medical certification board that examines and certifies US and Canadian physicians in medicine related to the diagnosis and treatment of varicose veins, DVTs, leg wound ulcers, pelvic congestion syndrome, and other venous circulatory and lymphatic maladies of the lower extremities. Chris was also Managing Director of the ABVLM from 2007-2009 when it was initially formed.

Prior to becoming Executive Director of the ABVLM, from 2000 through 2012 Chris was CFO and COO of the American Vein & Lymphatic Society (AVLS), a two-thousand-member medical society of physicians and allied healthcare professionals that focuses on education and medical practice support in the area of venous and lymphatic medicine. Chris was heavily involved in AVLS’ day-to-day aspects of operations, membership recruitment, marketing, event planning, budgeting, and reporting to the board.

Chris was born and raised in the Chicago area, and he moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1998 where has resided since. He enjoys motorcycle touring, camping in the great outdoors, and spending quality time with family and friends.
