Robin Blackman joined AMS in 2016 after working in public accounting for most of her career. At AMS, Robin is responsible for financial reporting for AMS and its clients. This includes monthly reporting as well as overseeing the annual audits and reviews, maintaining accounting policies and procedures, and serving as primary liaison to vendors.
Robin has worked in public accounting for 18+ years on a variety of for-profit and non-profit clients. Prior to AMS, she was Manager of her previous firm’s CFO services department working with trade associations, charitable organizations and government contractors. Robin also conducted financial statement audits and reviews, prepared a variety of tax and information returns for clients, and has conducted several systems conversions. Robin has also assisted in marketing efforts, including meeting with potential new clients and managing the accounting transition for the new client. Robin is familiar with various accounting software systems including QuickBooks, Sage50 and Deltek.
Robin attended and graduated cum laude from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelors in Business Administration and received her CPA certification in the state of Virginia.
Northern Virginia native who now calls Maryland home. Lives with husband, Andy, and two spoiled rescue dogs. Enjoys traveling, yoga, reading, sewing and hiking.
