Nisha joined Association Management Strategies, Inc. (AMS) in 2019 after serving in a number of positions at a large REALTOR® association in Virginia. She brings extensive legal and operational knowledge to AMS, having worked as in-house counsel and managing a robust strategic partnership portfolio.
Nisha began working for an impactful non-profit advocacy organization after graduating from law school in 2007. In her role, she advocated on behalf of individuals with criminal record histories and substance abuse histories. Her work on a national coalition led to the signing of the Second Chance Act, which created meaningful reentry opportunities for formerly incarcerated individuals. Additionally, she worked on the mental health and addiction parity legislative which strengthened insurance policies for those populations.
In her six years with the Northern Virginia Association of REALTORS®, Nisha became an experienced association executive in the role of Associate General Counsel and then Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships. With over 13,000 members, Nisha co-operated a members-only Legal Hotline answering questions related to the business of real estate; served as a liaison to the Board of Directors through an intensive bylaws re-write; and nearly tripled partnership investments into the organization in just two years. Nisha also taught the REALTORS® Code of Ethics to approximately 1,800 new members a year as well as other real estate courses offered by the Association.
Nisha Currently serves as the Director of Operations for the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM).
Nisha holds her B.A. from The George Washington University and her J.D. from Washington College of Law at American University.
